Live On-Line Event Wednesday, June 28

Please Send Us Your Health and Wellness Questions

This Wednesday we will not be in Florida for HSN’s Health and Wellness Event, but we will participate from Colorado with a live online event at HSN.com and ProCapsLabs.com.  This Online Event will not be dedicated to my products, but instead to you and your health and wellness questions.  What better way is there to celebrate great health than by answering your questions?  We have already received a few hundred questions, but we will also field questions live during the event.  I will do my best to answer as many of your health and wellness questions as possible.  Of course, if there are questions you might have about our products, I can answer those as well, but this event is really intended to help support your wellness decisions beyond supplements.  It will commence on Wednesday at noon Eastern Time for a couple of hours and then I will return at 8 PM Eastern Time to finish up.  We will then keep the recorded question and answer sessions available at HSN.com and ProCapsLabs.com for the balance of the week.  We will also make all my products available at their Special Pricing during the Event and through Friday June 30th if you might choose to order while you view the recordings.

As I often say, our health is just the culmination of all the seemingly “little” decisions we make each day, but these decisions are not quite as little as they seem.  They can hold great significance and the key to making better decisions is to simply be better informed.  It is amazing how much more accessible great health becomes when we know more.  My goal is to provide whatever assistance I can to help facilitate and encourage the healthiest decisions and life possible.  Looking forward to seeing you soon and please do not hesitate to send us your questions.

Lincoln and I and Muriel will see you on Wednesday!

Best of Health.

Andrew

  1. I would really like to tolerate Berberine better than I do given its remarkable benefits. It, unfortunately, gives me loose bowels. Any suggestions? Thank you – LOVE your products.

    1. I tend to have gout due to dehydration issues. I struggle to drink water and most drinks. I have one or two cups coffee in the morning. I drink hot tea or water the rest of the day. I do know that eating cherries helps gout and also arthritis. Will you be making any cherry supplements in the future?

    2. PJ, I have the same problem. I am diabetic so this is an important component to my regimen, but I constantly fight the ‘loose bowels’ problem and have to stop using it.

  2. We heard recently that you can take too much Vitamin D. My husbands and myself have very low Vitamin D Levels. I am 76 and he is 83. It’s hard to get tested because Medicare does not want to pay for it ,so we try and get it done once a year. My level is 32 and his is 30 and he lives in the sun. I would never take vitamins from anybody but you and we take about 18 different one’s a day. Could you tell us how much is safe to take.

    1. A healthy level of vitamin D would be between 60 and 80. Supplementing with vitamin D3 (the natural/bio identical form in doses upto 5,000 iu would generally be safe, but you can start with 1,000-2,000 units and see what effect that has the next time you have your level measured

  3. I have rosai dorphman disease. The location is on my lower leg. It has left my leg discolored, is there a supplement that could help with this problem? I have had it since 2009 and it started out the size of an eraser on a pencil, now it covers a fourth of my lower leg. I have had 4 biopsies, been seen by a team of 21 dermatologist and it has been treated with steroid shots and bandages containing steroids. Nothing is helping thus far. Please help.

  4. How is the best way of ridding the body of Candida (yeast)? Via an endoscopy I found out that I have had yeast in my esophagus but know it is in my body elsewhere. I took meds to rid of it but feel it comes back.

    1. Sugar feeds yeast. Reduce your sugar, and grain (starch begins turning to sugar in the mouth), and consider a ketogenic (fat burning instead of sugar burning) diet. Once you stop feeding the yeast it’s level will go down.

    2. Interesting you should mention this. I was watching a video interview of Dr. Ralph LaGuardia from
      doomsdaybookofmedicine.com.

He talks about iodine and its ability to kill both bacteria and virus almost immediately with these things becoming resilient.

On his website there is an article where he states:
“As a supplement you can take potassium iodide tablets, iodoral tablets (12.5 mg), nascent iodine (liquid) . The nascent iodine does not have a specific dose, I take seven drops in water daily. I like almost all of my patients who have hypothyroidism, fibrocystic breasts, ovarian cysts, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and any family history of breast cancer or even benign breast masses to supplement with iodine. It has no downside and the upside is outstanding.”

Since I have had thyroid issues from my mid 20’s I found this “iodine killing bad things in our system” commentary very interesting indeed.

Here are a couple of links you might find helpful:

      He has some interesting information.

    3. Hello Susan,
Go to Knowthecause.com. There are a lot of antifungals to take and you have to change your diet. He is also on Facebook! You can ask questions there.

  5. I use secure meal replacement almost daily and love it. You currently use Sucralose as the sweetener. Do you plan on changing this in the future? If not, will you please explain.

    1. I too, use the Secure product….why not use ” Stevia” which I’ve been told is all natural.

  6. You mentioned years ago that you might make a multi vitamin for dogs. What happened? Please, please, please make one soon! I can’t find a reputable source for a dog vitamin and I home cook for our dogs.

  7. I’m 54 years old I have anxiety, going through menopause, can’t sleep at nighttime, any sugguestions of which one of your products would help me?

  8. my grandson seems to have moderate brain damage from meth and other drugs…what vitamins/minerals are good for recovering drug addicts.

    1. Great question since this is a BIG concern in this country! Hopefully Andrew will have something to help our love ones!

  9. I have anxiety really bad is there any of your products I can take to help that? Thanks and I love your products

      1. I third that motion. I have had anxiety ever since I can remember and would love to take something all natural and not a prescription drug.

        1. Andrew has a product called Phosphatidyl Serine ; label states for stress, mood and memory. Read the reviews-some positive for anxiety.

  10. Andrew, I am a fan of your line. May i ask what products you offer that are safe for dogs? I once thought I heard you mention a product in your line that helps with dogs joints and hip movement. Thank-you, leigh.

    1. I give my 13 yr. old dog the glucosamine condroiten and I add MSM. She weighs 43 lbs, so I only give her Lessman’s every other day. It has worked verrrrry well for her. She has more life in her step now and enjoys her walks. I contacted my vet to ask about Turmeric and Ginger, he gave it 2 thumbs up, said the ginger may or may not upset her tummy or… she just might not like it at all, but takes the turmeric just fine when hidden. I don’t give those to her daily, only when she looks like she’s walking in some pain. I also give her Lessman’s fish oil, 1 daily. Lessman’s products are working very well for my dog.

  11. Love the picture of the Maroon Bells was my o’l stomping grounds years past.
Can one take to much Friendly Floral? I take one cap and Fibermucil for my GERD, and find it helps, now to rid of too much gas.
I have used a lot of your vitamins for years now.

  12. Do you intend to expand your line and can one take your multi vitamin for men along with your vegetable and fruit based supplements

  13. I take your Essential 1 w/D3000, Circulation & Vein Support, (2) Glucosamine & Chondrotin, CoQ10 & Cholestacare every morning with breakfast. Is it okay to take these as I am taking them or is it too much for my liver taking them at one time? Thanks for making easy to swallow products.

  14. Hello Andrew,

I have been taking many of your products for years. I have often wondered are they working at all or am I just healthy. Recently I had a saliva test done (the second in my life) the results were astoundingly good except for “adrenal stress”. Apparently what I need is cortisol. Any healthy suggestions in your vitamin line for that?

BTW … are your vitamins worth it?
According to my prior saliva test everything tested backed into normal since the last test in 2001.

At 76 and going strong that is good to know. Thank you for your efforts on our behalf 😉

    Linda

  15. I would like to know if you are considering or thinking about a supplement for Thyroid Health. I believe in the age of rancid oils, GMO products, and Processed Foods, it could be very beneficial. Thanks, Andrew for continuing to make great products.

  16. Love your vitamins and thank you for switching over the multi vitamin to the mroe bioavailable forms of methyl folate and methyl B12 so people with MTHFR mutations can take your multi since folic acid is dangerous for them. I really appreciate it ! .. I noticed last time I checked the hair skin and nails formula did not have the methyl versions of folate and B12 will they be changing over soon ,so I can take those again?

    1. I recall the healthy hair skin and nails have the methylcobalimin not the cyanocobalim B12. Am I incorrect? I started taking them again because of this.

  17. I have had Restless Leg Syndrome for years and currently take Requip. Is there a natural supplement I could use instead? Circulation and Vein Support seems to trigger RLS for me and I have tried it several times with the same result. Does potassium or magnesium help?

    1. Interesting comment on RLS and that the Circ & Vein support seemed to trigger it, I wasn’t imagining it! Maybe we need to take it a certain way like day or night.

  18. There is so much negative talk about the consumption so SOY, I love SECURE and am wondering if this product contains a soy by product that isn’t harmful. Also pertaining to SECURE, wish there was a option for SECURE unsweetened.
Thanks for all your great products and sharing your knowledge

    1. Yes isn’t soy a plant estrogen that is not good for someone who had estrogen receptive cancer or is on bioidentical hormone replacement therapy.

  19. Hi Andrew… your vitamins are the only ones I will take. I have found such wonderful benefits from the ones I do… Co q 10, D3, Omega 3, calcium/magnesium, Vit C and just started taking Turmeric. I also purchased the ginger and aloe.
My question is….. are there any vitamins that should not be taken together? Are there any that benefit from taking together… as far as what I am already taking?
Thank you and just keep bringing it on!!!! Love, Love your products and totally trust them. THEY WORK!!!!!

  20. Andrew,
There is a product called relief factor consistently being promoted on radio.
It has icariin, resveratrol, curcumin and omega 3.
We take 3 of those 4 on a regular basis.
What is icariin ? can you say a bit about it?

There is a product called superbeets
    “highly-concentrated beet crystals.
    With it, you get:
The Nitric Oxide equivalent of three whole beets with just one convenient and great tasting serving” (from promo)
What do we have at procaps that supplies nitric oxide…and do you agree about its necessity?

  21. I want to know what is the difference between your hair products and a brand called viviscal. I want to know how long it takes to see improvements in your hair.
Do your products stop breakage and improve thickness.

  22. I have adrenal problems with very low DHEA and very low cortisol. I wanted to know if there are any vitamins or foods that may help heal my adrenals. I take various products of yours but I wasn’t sure if there is a particular product that would help me. Thanks Andrew for devoting your life to making us healthier!

  23. Andrew, I’m a long time customer and use around 10 – 12 vitamins and supplements of yours per day. In May 2017 I was confirmed to have a diagnosis of B-cell Lymphoma and am still getting results of a final test .. Bone Marrow biopsy…I recently ordered your Vit K 500 for 1st time after filling out the new questions on an HSN site you provided. I also refilled the Alpha Lipoic Acid with N-Acetyl Cysteine – that I’m using as an antioxidant . Please tell me if these are the best to choose for the cancer I am facing , since there are several antioxidants you sell and there were other options under the blood category on the questions I answered when I picked the Vit K to purchase for the 1st time. Any thoughts are welcome. As far as I know this cancer is low grade for now and so there is still hope … unfortunately I also have C.O.P.D. diagnosed now and breathing is difficult. Thank you MKS

    1. Marcia if you have COPD, I am not a doctor but I had experience in the past with a family member. The Pulmonologist or lung doctor prescribed 1600 mg of N-Acetyl Cysteine. I recommend you ask your doctor and buy just the N-Acetyl Cysteine alone to get more of the antioxidants and also get the Alpha Lipoic Acid separately. I do not have cancer and I take both of them separately meaning 1 bottle each of them because they are really good. Best benefits take it with food + Omega 3’s + Astaxanthin
ALL THIS IS MANUFACTURED BY ANDREW

Astaxanthin is a powerful, naturally occurring carotenoid pigment that’s found in certain marine plants and animals. Often called “the king of the carotenoids,” astaxanthin is recognized as being one of the most powerful antioxidants found in nature. It is of particular significance, because unlike some other types of antioxidants, astaxanthin never becomes a pro-oxidant in the body so it can never cause harmful oxidation.

What Are the Benefits of Astaxanthin?
Astaxanthin is an antioxidant, so it naturally reduces free radicals in the body. But besides that, it also significantly reduces the oxidative load in the body by protecting the cells against oxidation. Because of astaxanthin’s unique molecular structure, this red-colored pigment is an extremely powerful antioxidant that is very effective against singlet oxygen. It has a powerful scavenging ability for lipid and free radicals, and effectively breaks peroxide chain reactions.

While astaxanthin was initially introduced as a “super antioxidant,” it has also been found to benefit a number of bodily functions, including:

Eye Health – The structure of astaxanthin is similar to lutein and zeaxanthin, two antioxidants that have been shown to reduce the risk of nuclear cataracts. But, while similar, astaxanthin has a stronger antioxidant activity and UV-light protection effect, both of which point to it being an excellent supplement for eye health maintenance.

Skin Health – Astaxanthin has been shown to help improve skin moisture levels, elasticity, and smoothness while reducing wrinkles, freckles, and spots.

Astaxanthin’s antioxidant properties have also been shown to help improve heart heath, cellular health, and the body’s immune system.

      Astaxanthin Sources
Astaxanthin is found in its highest natural concentration in wild Pacific sockeye salmon. It is also found in krill, algae, red trout, shrimp, crab, and lobster. Its vibrant red pigmentation is what helps give these marine animals and plants their intense coloring.
      WISH YOU WELL

      1. If I may, I’d like to add a thought about astaxanthin from personal experience. I have type 2 diabetes. I have semiannual exams with my opthamologist, especially since I have a family history of cataracts and glaucoma. Andrew’s Ultimate Eye along with the Astaxanthin have been so successful in keeping my baby blues healthy that my doctor is amazed that my eyes are actually healthier than when I first became her patient. The improvement began when I started taking Andrew’s products a few short years ago. I’m very thankful.

  24. Dear Andrew! Can you help us figure out the best supplements for brain health and how to detox the brain? I take many of your supplements and admit I do shop around but find other products with ingredients that shouldn’t be there like wood pulp. Thank You Andrew for keeping your products available with no additives.

  25. Is there a reason you do not add MSM to your Glucosamine Condroiten? My Nephrologist restricts me from taking all NSAIDS so I take your Glucosamine Condroiten and add MSM for pain. I haven’t taken NSAIDS for over 3 years and this combo works great. Would like to see MSM added so I don’t have to purchase it separately and I know I’m getting the right dosage. My Dr. is very pleased that I’m taking these three for pain.

  26. Can you give a list by weight of the proper dosages of your vitamins for dogs? My dog is 63 lbs. would love to know for fish oil and glucosamine/ chondroitin along with anything else that could be beneficial.

BTW -a palatable multi for my picky dog would be great too 🙂

  27. What is the difference between Essential 1 and Women’s Complete? Which one should I be taking?

  28. Andrew,
Please considering invent a product for anti-inflammation for people who are suffering from arthritis, costochondritis, intestines, etc. I have been taking Turmeric-400 and Ginger-450 for about 1 year, Marine Collagen Petides and Maximum Joint Efforts for about 3 years, but I still feel discomfort in the joint in my right shoulder and the ribs in left side of my chest. Meanwhile any suggestions to use for these symptoms would be appreciated.

    1. Betty, I would like to ask you: what do you eat? Besides a supplement that would help you with the inflammation which for me is Andrew’s Omegas and fresh ginger in what I cook. You also need to eat most of the time a lot of vegetables and good quality protein avoiding or limiting red meat and cheese to once a week, no ham or pork and wild sockeye salmon 2-3 times per week. Walking if you are allow to 3-5 times a week for 30 minutes. This is the most essential thin to do for your arthritis. I have a subscription to Arthritis Today which have a lot of tips, recipes, exercises, stories from real people coping with a wide range of diseases like yours. It is less than 15.00 dollars for a year. It helps a lot.

      1. Lisa, Thanks for your information. I have been taking Andrew’s vitamins (about 24 different types – including Maximum Essential Omega-3) and green tea for about 15 years. I only eat wild salmon, sardine, tuna, trout (2-3/week), chicken, leafy vegetables, beets, legumes, walnuts, almonds, pecans, and drink unsweet almond milk (I am allergic to dairy products), green tea, and turmeric/ginger tea (sometime fresh ginger tea). Daily exercises: 20 minutes stretching (I learned from Arthritis Foundation on internet) in the morning and 30 minutes walking in the evening). I am in my late 60s and also have high cholesterol, so I am very cautious in my eating and drinking. Again, thanks for your info and any other suggestions would be appreciated.

  29. ANDREW
I have been asking for a long time ( years) If you would consider making your LUTEIN-10 with the same dose as your ULTIMATE EYE SUPPORT.
    LUTEIN-10 = Lutein 10mg +Zeaxanthin 500mcg.
    ULTIMATE EYE SUPPORT= Lutein 10 mg + Zeaxanthin 5mg
I cannot take ULTIMATE EYE SUPPORT because it has green tea which is not decaf and give me arrhythmia. Then I have to take Lutein-10 which does not have the adequate amount of Zeaxanthin. For me to take the required amount of Zeaxanthin which is 5 mg I have to buy it from another manufacturer which has a lot of EXTRA ingredients or fillers that are damaging my stomach. I take your supplements for more than 12 years now and I take 14 to 18 caps per/day. I need them because I have an incurable disease.
I would appreciate if you listen to this request. It is not the 1st time I beg you for that; please. I do not trust any supplier even in the food I eat, and I decided to trust you many years ago and I think I was not wrong.
    Thanks

    1. I also have AMD and can’t take anything that contains caffeine. I love Andrew’s products and hope he can help us.

  30. I recently read that liquid soft-gel capsule vitamins are better than regular vitamins. Please let me know what you think . Thank you.

  31. I need a vitamin for someone over 60+ that does NOT contain B-12. I have Beta Thalassemia Minor and need the folic acid NOT the iron. My iron levels are maxed to the top.

  32. Would love to see the following added to your wonderful line.

*PEA Protein powder that is sweetened for Stevia Leaf only (No SOY)
    *MCT Oil

  33. I have been told be my neurologist by the MRI taken that I have some blood vessels closed at the back of my brain . I am already taking your Marine Collagen Peptides and Memory & brain with Acetyl L-Carnitine ( I still have all memory) just hope you have something that will open the closed blood vessels so my blood will circulate better to my brain. I am taking many of your vitamins / supplements. Thank you so much for helping all your customers and keep bring all the heathly goodness/ benefits to us. Bette

  34. I have a container of the Marine Collagen Peptides in my cabinet, but I have read that Marine Collagen can significantly raise my calcium level and cause hypercalcemia. I have a normal calcium level right now. Should I be concerned?

  35. My daughter’s hemoglobin level is 8.6. She doesn’t care for iron supplements. Would vitamin B12 help? What do you recommend?
    Thanks

  36. Can you take to many vitamins? I take 14 vitamins of yours Dr. Lessman.

Thank you for all your wonderful work to keep us healthy.

    Jane Baldino

  37. Thank you for the online presentation. It was informative and enjoyable. I take several of your products. I love the Sencha green tea.

  38. Your idea of making childrens vitamin in the form of chocolate is great, consider also making childrens organic protein in chocolate square. I understand the best source of healthy diet is from fresh vegies and fruits but when the childrens (under 10 years) are only being fed packaged junk food and granola bars by their parents, I ( the grandma) would at least be able to give them something healthier since these children don’t even fresh fruit nor vegies. FYI : I tested a tiny bite of choconuvo to my 4 year old grand son, and he loves it, he wants more of course but i am not sure if that’s a good idea, i am just trying to put fiber in his diet

  39. Sad I missed this one. Andrew, my children aren’t old enough to comprehend the value of your work, yet. And their childrens children will thank you for it. Namaste
